What each lesson teaches

Where to start if you have never done a case

A consulting interview tests the same loop over and over: take a business problem you have never seen, break it into parts that do not overlap, do the arithmetic in your head, and say what you would actually do about it. Lesson 01 teaches that whole loop — clarify the prompt, build a MECE structure, lead with a hypothesis, run the math cleanly, close in sixty seconds — and it is free. Every lesson after it goes deeper on one piece of it: frameworks, case math, market sizing, profitability, structured brainstorming, and the McKinsey PEI behavioral round.

Reading is the smaller half. Each lesson pairs the concept with a worked diagram and live, AI-graded drills, so the skill gets tested the same minute you learn it — the same drills and cases you get inside the product, on McKinsey, BCG, Bain and any other consulting format. If you would rather watch the five moves play out inside one full case before studying the parts, start with how to do a case interview, then come back here.

Frequently asked questions

How do I start preparing for a case interview?
Start with the case interview method, then take one skill at a time in order: market sizing, frameworks, profitability, case math, structured brainstorming, and the McKinsey PEI behavioral round. That is the sequence on this page, it runs about 56 minutes of reading in total, and each lesson ends in live AI-graded practice so you test the skill before moving to the next one.
Is this case interview prep free?
The first 2 lessons — the case interview method and market sizing — are free with a free Road to Offer account, with live AI-graded drills built in. The remaining lessons (case frameworks, profitability cases, case math essentials, structured brainstorming and behavioral & mckinsey pei) are part of Pro, so you can go from your first free rep to full consulting-interview prep in one place.
How is this different from a case interview book?
Books explain the theory; these lessons make you practice it. Every lesson is linked to live, AI-graded drills and full cases, so you get instant feedback on your structure, math, and synthesis instead of reading passively. That active-recall loop is the fastest way to turn case interview knowledge into interview-ready reps.
Will this prepare me for McKinsey, BCG, and Bain?
Yes. The method, frameworks, and math lessons cover the case format every MBB and consulting firm uses, and the behavioral lesson covers the McKinsey Personal Experience Interview (PEI) and the fit questions BCG and Bain ask. Pair the lessons with the drills and voice cases to rehearse a full interview end to end.
How long does it take to learn consulting case interviewing?
Reading the full path takes about 56 minutes across 7 lessons, but reading is the smaller half. Plan on repeating the drills and full cases attached to each lesson over several weeks — the concepts are learned in an afternoon, the reps are what make them hold up under interview pressure.
